Join NYSDEC and HRNERR for our 2024 Science on the River Event: Saturday, September 14 from 1 – 4 p.m. at Norrie Point Environmental Center!
Canoe the waters around Norrie Point, watch a live birds of prey program with Wildlife Rehabilitator Annie Mardiney, and have fun with oyster castles. Fish with nets or with rod and reel, all equipment provided. Check out the eel touch tank, crabs, and turtles! Look at macroinvertebrates (water bugs) through a digital microscope and explore the many ways scientists test the waters around us. There is even a performance by Arm of the Sea Theater.
The event is free, family-friendly, and no registration needed. We hope to see you there!
