Public Canoe Programs

2026 Canoe Programming Note

Because of important construction at Norrie Point Environmental Center and the need to limit programming during this time, we will not have any more public canoe openings in 2026. We will return to offering more public canoe programs in the future, so please check back with us in the summer of 2027.

Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you on the river soon!

Paddle the Hudson River estuary with our staff naturalists during free, educational canoe trips. Join us to explore tidal marshes, observe birds and wildlife, and discover unique plants.

These trips are suitable for adults and children (6+), whether you’re an experienced or beginner paddler. The trips leave from three different launch sites in the lower, upper, and mid-Hudson Valley. All gear is provided, and registration is required.

We also offer these trips to high school and college classes, and municipal decision-makers such as town planners.

Looking for school programs and field trips? Visit our education page.
