Hudson River National Estuarine Research Reserve
Reports of Research Activities

Scientists conduct research at the Reserve that is relevant to coastal management needs and increases basic understanding of estuarine processes.  This research effort is summarized in numerous reports.  An ecological profile provides an introduction to the Reserve; an environmental overview of the Hudson River Estuary; a description of ecological community types that occur among the four individual Reserve site components; an overview of the Reserve’s programs and partnerships; a summary of basic and applied research conducted within the past 20 years at the Reserve; and suggestions for future research and monitoring activities.
